Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom would like to do a Kindness Project to present at our Open House this year. In order to do so we will need tri fold project boards, paint, crayons, stickers, construction paper, sharpies, markers in ink. We will be decorating each board individually with the families, doing a few acts of kindness in the community and taking pictures. This will be presented at our Open House this year to enable the children to start promoting kindness within their home and community. Pictures will be taken and posted on their decorative posterboard.

We also need kindness books to be able to read all month to the students to introduce the activity.

These books can be read during our large group, small group and at home so that parents can make connections with their child and start to plan their board. These books will support reading comprehension, vocabulary, letter identification and critical thinking in preschool.
