My Students

Help out a first-year teacher! It is my first year teaching and our classroom library is far from what I hoped it would be. I would like to add some books on poetry and culture for my students to use for independent reading as well as class lessons.

My class consists of 24 energetic, imaginative, and excited third graders!

Our school is not very culturally diverse so I selected titles that would help me introduce culture into our classroom. A few other books on our wish list were picked by the children in our classroom as their favorite books or ones they have always wanted to read!

My Project

My students are at the age where reading is crucial to all subjects and I want to make sure they keep the spark going and continue to be excited, interested, and inspired through text. These titles will change my students lives for the better and positively impact their opinion of reading.

These books are so important and crucial to our growing classroom because children need books available that interest, challenge, and broaden their viewpoints.
