This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in a low-income/high poverty area. Our students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our students have the capability to be very creative. Music is a great way for students to become creative and explore their individual abilities.
Currently our school does not have a music program in place.
Our goal is to set up a music room for our students to enable high achievement for each student through discovery. Music class will be a place where students have the opportunity to sing, play, create, compose, improvise, perform, dance, and work together as a team!
My Project
Currently our school does not have a music program in place. Our new music room is in need of 3 violins to engage students in learning many different skills. Our students will be able to learn about playing a specific instrument, rhythm, how to read music and so much more!
Beyond creating music, our students will be able to explore cultures, the science behind how the instruments work, and the art of creating art together!
A violin is fundamental in an orchestra as part of a music classroom for a variety of purposes with a whole class or individual students.
