Alondra, Jasmine, and Marissa, decided to come up this project to help out all of the girls on the team, that can't afford to buy polo's, and to help replace the old shooting shirts. I'm excited the girls are stepping up for the team! To see these girls as motivated as they is a nice thing to see
We were recently at a tournament waiting to play, when another team came with matching polo's. The girls were amazed on how the other team looked. This made them take a look at themselves that day and say, "Hey, that's how we want to look!" So, once got back they began to search for home and away polo's. The shooting shirts were another thing. Since our shooting shirts haven't been replaced in about 6 years, the girls hate wearing them during warm-ups, and decided it was time to get rid of the old ones.
The skills the students will develop are in leadership, while preparing for this project. An academic skill the will develop is writing. They will have to write 3 short essays for this project. they will have to work on their grammar and punctuation for the project. Another skill they will learn is real-life problem-solving. The girls recognized there was a problem, which was not enough money for the team polo's, and shooting shirts. The students recognized that funding was limited and and decided to put this project together.
I'm trying to get people to contribute to help the our basketball team get polo's, and shooting shirts. Not everyone on the basketball team has the money to buy them for themselves. We need this help so every girl can feel like they're apart of this team. Looking like a team always helps you feel like a team, I know from experience. Matching polo's and the shooting shirts will help us look and play like a team.
I want to make this project happen by getting people to support our team in achieving our goal to get new team polo's and shooting shirts. Our coaches do so much for us already, now it is our turn to do something awesome for them. I think it would be super cool if we could get the polo's and shooting shirts we need for the upcoming season!
Our community is super small and we share it with another school across town, so fundraising is really hard. Our parents and supporters work s hard to help with costs and fundraisers so we can get any gear and materials we need. So we thought we’d try another way to get materials and give our people a little break, instead of constantly draining our parents and community. Falcon Strong!!
