Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Through high interest themes of social justice and self-realization, students are introduced to a mirror and window metaphor. Students are challenged to deepen aspects of self and their community, while looking outward beyond their “Chicago block” to more societal and global perspective.

Our students work hard to shape themselves as respectful, responsible lifelong learners.

Our students demonstrate attributes of inquisitive, self-motivated learners. We hope to equip each of our students with vast cultural and artistic experiences, allowing students to holistically develop their academic abilities and social-emotional awareness.

My Project

My students need the requested HP Stream Laptops and mice which will provide opportunity to express themselves and influence others through the outlets of technology and multimedia advancements. Equal access to resources, especially technology outlets, is key as our urban youth transition into high school and close the achievement gap of our nation's educational system.
