This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 1st graders. They are active and love to move. They need to constantly move and need constant change. My students are also predominately English Learners. They need a lot of visuals and TPR. I have been doing flexible seating for two years and my students truly enjoy it. They love the option of picking a new seat every day! My students will have the option to move as they learn and this will help them stay focused!

My Project

When I started flexible seating two years ago. I bought everything in the classroom. It was very expensive, but worth every penny. This year, I really want to add wobble stools and a horseshoe table to my classroom. However, these things are expensive, but they would help my students tremendously. I would really love to add these things to my flexible seating environment! This year I was blessed with a baby and we all know that babies need a lot of things. So, I don’t have extra money for my classroom. I hate asking for help, but these items will help me create a better environment for all my students!
