My students absolutely love the articles in the Scholastic News magazines. My students can relate to these articles written specifically for their age and grade level. Plus, they love receiving a magazine that is just for them! Talk about engagement! I get such joy seeing the kids want to read! I have also ordered a set of non-fiction books, which I don't have enough of in my class library. I've noticed the students really love reading books that they can learn from. Again, what a joy! My goal is to allow my students to enjoy reading! (Yes, I want them to pass their reading standardized test at the end of the year, but if they leave my reading class without having enjoyed reading, I have failed them...) Please, help us by donating and providing my students with meaningful reading materials. Thank you!
