These primary writing journals will assist students in learning the correct formation of letters that students will practice on a daily basis to strengthen their skills. Each student will write daily in their primary writing journals which will enhances students' writing and reading abilities! Students will have the freedom to choose what they want to write about which will make the subject even more interesting to them. I want to provide more freedom for the students by offering flexible seating where students who are very active can choose to seat on one of the flexible seating to help them focus more on their writing. The storage book bins are needed to store their primary writing journals. Sentence strips will be utilized by offering another option for writing. Instead of always writing in journals, students will be to transfer those writing skills learned to all subject areas such as utilizing the multicolored wooden dominoes and cubes to write addition and subtraction sentences on the sentence strips and showing their thinking using pictures, numbers, and words. Students will learn techniques to enhance their writing and reading skills by demonstrating techniques that authors/illustrators use when writing such as formation of letters, leaving spaces, utilizing capitalization correctly and adding punctuation in their primary writing journals as well as in other subject areas. Multi-colored paper will enhance students' novelty and curiosity with print, therefore continuing to excite and encourage student to write.
