The materials for this project will give my co-teach and regular education students the opportunity to work with their hands and build a light-up electric circuit. This engaging activity will tie directly into the current unit on Electricity and Magnetism and will help my students grasp and connect to the learning content. Students will have the opportunity to connect the content of the unit to the real-world experience in the form a unique paper light-up circuit Valentine. Both my regular education and co-teach classes will make connections to the material as they experience how electricity moves through a circuit firsthand. Co-teach students will be engaged in the lesson, using their 5 senses to understand electromagnetism and create a light-up card that they can keep for themselves or give away to someone else this Valentine's Day.
