WOW! Our third graders are officially part of the "Big Kids Club"! At our school, the third graders begin to transition from class to class, very much like the intermediate students do, but on a smaller scale. This is such a big year for them in many ways. Socially they have begun to develop healthy friendships and are learning how to resolve issues independently. Academically, they will be challenged with a very rigorous curriculum, and this is the first year of a battery of standardized and state assessments that they will take. The third grade team is confident that with the right mix of support, encouragement and guidance the third graders at our school will be able to handle anything that comes their way!
