My classroom is an highly structured language based classroom meeting the needs of students in Kindergarten and 1st grade in a high poverty area. The children in my classroom have an IEP (Individual Education Plan) addressing Developmental Delays, Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. The children struggle in a variety of areas including communication, behavior and sensory. My students are a group of 8 amazing children with a wide range of abilities and needs. School can be very challenging for my students because of their delays but they love to have fun while learning.
