As I have mentioned, my students are simply amazing. Each group I see in a day is using both their English and Spanish academic skills. Unfortunately, we need more novels in SPANISH in our class. My kiddos need an opportunity to engage with a novel in the Spanish language to practice all their academic Spanish skills. Since there are so many in our group, I am asking that each gets a novel. There is something different when holding a book in your hand when you are reading. This story specifically will get my students reading and it will lead into our writing lessons. It will also lead into more collaborative conversations in class while they are sharpening their listening skills.
