As a secondary school counselor serving students in grades 7–12, my goal is to provide a dedicated environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. In alignment with our Montessori philosophy, our counseling space is designed to foster independence, self-reflection, and personal agency. Our space serves dual purposes: it is both a calm haven for social-emotional regulation and emotional wellness, and a launchpad for post-secondary planning, career exploration, and academic growth. Whether students are drop-in visitors seeking stress-relief tools during a difficult moment, working through graduation progress tracking, or preparing college applications, this room gives them the resources, structure, and safety they need to navigate their teenage years with confidence.
