Using technology in the classroom is a challenge for both teachers and students. With a limited personal budget and school budget, many of our students cannot access material during the school day due to the lack of devices to listen to a story, read a science article or listen to educational videos. Many other students need help with reading. The headphones requested will give all students access to literacy in the science classroom without being embarrassed. Many students at the middle school level are embarrassed because they cannot read as fluently as other students. My goal as a teacher is to inspire a new generation of learners as I prepare them for real-world experiences. Reading is truly essential to life itself.
