Some of my students challenges are : to stay focus , to concentrate to continue learning or to finish a task without getting distracted. Many of my students often get out of their seats or use their chair (plastic) as a rocking chair which is very dangerous. Students with Autism need movement to stay alert and pay attention, in a safe and non-disruptive way. That is why purchasing the right furniture is a must in this type of setting. My students will benefit from a rocker chair, a leaning chair or some bean bag chairs. I would like to see that challenge minimize , so students will be able to focus more on the lessons and activities in the classroom.
