I am on a mission to bring as many hands-on learning activities to my students as possible. I am transferring schools and teaching 7th grade science, which is very exciting, I get to create new curriculum for my students using NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). I have been researching all summer on different life science labs that I would love to bring to my new classroom. Students deserve hands on learning especially in their science classrooms. With your support I will be able to bring LIFE to our Life Science classroom. LIFE to our Life Science classroom will require hands on activities which will challenge my students to be complex thinkers.
Items from my cart that will support my student's learning:
I would like to update my new classroom with content posters. I have requested a couple of posters in this project that will provide visual aids and quick reminders for the students as they learn to use telescopes and study life science (ecology, biology, ecosystems, etc).
I have requested microslides. These particular microslides are chromosomes and genes. The slides are used with microscopes in the classroom. Students have the opportunity to use hands on learning while studying chromosomes and genetics in their 7th grade science classroom.
X-ray true to life kit will bring real life X-ray samples for my students to make observations with while learning human anatomy. The models of human eye and human heart will also be helpful for the students while studying human anatomy.
The Animal Kingdom Kit III will bring 20 specimens from the animal kingdom to my classroom. The students will have access to do hands on learning through life observations.
These are just some examples of these items will bring students learning to life in our science classroom! ALOHA
