As a technology educator, I am always trying to find new and innovative ways for my students to pursue their learning goals. By offering many opportunities for project-based learning, I've found that my students take much more interest in their learning. I have a wonderful woods lab where students can use tools and machines to create but I am lacking some diversity when it comes to creative outlets. I am hoping to add a Silhouette Cameo 4 cutting machine so that students can sandblast, personalize, and customize their own creative designs and projects. Having this product will allow us to diversify our maker space to allow for more creative design. Incorporating creativity and fun have been key to my success as an educator. Allowing students opportunities where they can learn in a way that most fits their interests helps to promote curiosity and put them in charge of their goals. In the wise words of my animated hero, Ms. Frizzle of The Magic Schoolbus, I can help my students to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy in their pursuit of learning!
