I have discovered, being at this school 2 years not, that these students LOVE to sing. Not only this, they are very good at it. Because of this, I have used my activities budget this year to purchase 2 musicals for them. We will be performing one in May, Willy Wonka KIDS. My only regret is that I didn't think of this sooner. For Wonka, the kids will have to step up to mics placed in only 3 locations on the stage. This limits their abilities and creativity. This is where YOU come in! Next year, our musical is The Lion King KIDS. Just like this year with Wonka, I will be spending my time and money on props, costume pieces, music, dancing, and anything else I can to make this a special experience for the kids involved. What I would love for them is a wireless mic system to let them be heard. They wouldn't have to be stationary, standing at a mic to sing their song. They could experience live theater the way it was meant to be...ALIVE! I have added the 60-month protection plan because...well, elementary school!
