My "classroom" is the library for Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, CA. It is loved by students in 9th-12th grade. I get to serve over 2,000 students and my main goal is to create an environment where students can not only learn how to read but to also learn how to love it. We talk about books like friends talk about the latest novel they loved and say, "Wow, you have to read that it was awesome!". I also try and utilize the technology I have access to to keep students excited about information literacy, digital literacy, and research. We try to make the library a place all about discovering new things, no matter the format the information came in.
