Indiana winters are cold and my students need to stay warm and healthy all winter long. Many of my students walk to school or wait at bus stops on cold mornings. We also go outside for recess every day that weather permits. My students will each receive a new hat, a pair of gloves, and 2 pairs of socks. This will help them stay warm at recess, and traveling to and from school. They will also receive their very own blanket to stay warm at home, too. My students need to keep their teeth healthy so they can be at school learning. They may not have access to dental care, so it's important for them to have toothbrushes and toothpaste. Sore mouths can be a big distraction. Students are better able to focus and achieve learning growth at school when their needs are met. If they are kept warm, they won't be distracted by cold sleepless nights and cozy blankets will keep them warm. They can get outside to play and burn some energy if they have the proper gear. Dental issues and sore mouths won't distract them if they have toothbrushes and toothpaste. My students are amazing kids and they deserve the best. They deserve to have warm winter gear, blankets, and the basic need of toothbrushes and toothpaste.
