My name is Whitney Williams and I have the privilege of teaching 7th and 8th grade science in a small Northern Maine school! As a junior high teacher, I enjoy getting to know my students, their specific pedagogical needs, and how I can best meet those needs. My students come from a very strong farming background and spend more time talking about an upcoming tractor pull than they do a favorite book. Although this in and of itself poses certain challenges, I love seeing my students' passion for their community's traditions and lifestyles. My students represent a unique picture of Americana that I hope to enrich through critical thinking and higher-order processing skills!
