Illinois weather is unpredictable. Our cold winters and wet rainy springs interfere with our time spent outdoors. Therefore, my students end up with a lot of indoor recess. I picked games my students will want to play during indoor recess. All of these activities will teach them sight words and decoding skills or counting and geometry in a fun and meaningful way. My class has to stay in our classroom for indoor recess so it is important for them to have fun and be engaged because they are getting less physically activity than if they were outdoors. Your generous donation will offer my students engaging games that keep their minds active in a way that is playful. They will learn and interact with each other in a positive manner, preparing them for the remainder of their day.
