"Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul," said Plato. I believe that music allows us to experience and process information in creative ways and to express ourselves, so that we can become well-rounded people who appreciate and manage life-long learning. My goal as an educator is to provide my students with meaningful musical experiences. Through an interactive, hands-on approach, my students are able to grow through music exploration. Having high expectations, both in academics and behavior, allows me to challenge my students to go above and beyond in music.
