Every student is capable of achieving anything when given the resources. By donating to my first grade class, you are instilling the love of learning. Primary grades need the appropriate writing paper so that they understand spacing and can improve their penmanship. Students need to be able to write to express themselves. I believe that all children can become great writers with enough practice. By writing everyday, they can visualize their progress and how they grew over time. I want my students to have engaging books which will encourage them to become life-long readers. Phonics, fluency, and comprehension are all fundamental concepts which are critical for reading instruction in first grade. They need to have the tools to communicate their ideas with their peers. I want to make learning engaging for my students. The whiteboards are needed so that I can assess their progress during our online class meetings. It allows students to collaborate and show what they have learned even from far away. By raising up their boards, I can easily give them feedback and provide positive encouragement.
