This classroom serves a large military community, located just one mile from Tinker AFB. Every child needs a space to call their own when they share the room with 20-25 other children. In early childhood education, it is important for us to develop a sense of community, and nearly everything we do, we do it together on this carpet! Much of what we learn in kindergarten, we learn together as a group. When we are sitting on the floor, it helps us learn to work together, and be a part of a group. This is one of the first steps in recognizing that we are individuals, and we can cooperate and work with others. This is so important for our development!

About my class
