I am a school librarian in a school that is placing a major emphasis on literacy development. Our students face some significant barriers in finding their voice amidst the community of which they are a part of. My goal is to seek ways to encourage their success at discovering who they are and what they can be by teaching not only a love of traditional literacy but also by harnessing the power of digital mediums to create projects that are meaningful and thought provoking. Students need an outlet for their voices to be heard and supported in order to find a pathway to succeed.

About my class
