I received funding through Donors Choose for two of my special needs classrooms when I taught in the District of Columbia, and I am eternally grateful to those donors for sealing partnerships with me to create the excitement for learning that I saw reflected in my students' faces. I joined the teaching staff of a Maryland high school this past August, and I am finding that students in this county adjacent to D.C. need and deserve my unwavering support as well. I aim to provide it by doing everything in my power to ensure they have the basic tools they need to promote their success.
