I teach sixth and seventh grade English Language Arts at Blaine Elementary, a neighborhood public school in Chicago’s Lakeview community. I feel incredibly lucky to teach a group of students who are quite possibly some of the best kids I’ve ever had. They are curious, dedicated, thoughtful, and eager to learn. They ask great questions, care about their work, and genuinely enjoy learning alongside one another. Most importantly, they are simply wonderful kids who make our classroom a joyful place to be. They deserve a learning environment that is just as special as they are, and I’m so excited about the opportunity to create that space for them.

About my class
