I like to inspire my students to create and write their own books. This will give them the opportunity to find pictures and create their books. I enjoy teaching them to create different kinds of books such as pop up books. Our students end of the year project is to research a person that interests them. They have to write about the person's life and create a project that they can relate to that person. A lot of them have already chosen Amelia Earhart so I feel they will have the opportunity to look for pictures and add them to their written project or to their created object, which a lot are looking at creating an airplane. My students will also have the opportunity to look for pictures so they can create a Science interactive journal. I would also like to create an end of the year t-shirt so they can take with them as a 2nd grade memory.
