My students are culturally diversified and amazingly motivated to learn. I am always looking for unusual project ideas and ways to make them stop and say, "Wow, I created this!" This year my art classes will be connecting the four core subjects-literacy, math, social studies and science to art. From reading well known children's books to creating animals from clay, papier maching planets and landforms, drawing on blank puzzles, I have a multitude of exciting projects in store for them. My school is a k-2 school this year so many of my projects need to be highly engaging as well as materials used. I hope to expose these children to many new mediums and art forms. I have been teaching art for 16 years and it is my passion! Having good quality resources to continue my program is the key. Thanks for all your support and for caring about the arts in public schools.
