I will use the materials requested to create a learning environment that is both stimulating and engaging. I have evaluated what has worked in the past. I have carefully selected literacy activities and supplies that are guaranteed to spark interest and self motivation in my young students. The materials I am requesting are critical as they reinforce the foundational skills I teach during our literacy block. Students will be able to practice reading and phonics in small groups at each center. The listening center activities allows students to work at their own pace to practice becoming readers. The read aloud books help teach multiple reading skills. The phonics centers are great for differentiating instruction based on student needs. Our classrooms do not have desks, the seat sacks will provide us with a way to organize our supplies. When students are engaged in "fun" activities they are eager to learn. Students want to learn and these resources provide them with multiple opportunities to develop and practice their skills.
