Sensory items will provide the particular sensory input that many of my students crave. It has been shown that it can improve concentration and focus in children with ADHD and others who need to keep their hands busy to listen and attend. Sensory play is also important for development. I will be helping to providing opportunities in my room for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through sensory play, which is crucial to brain development because it helps to build nerve connections in the brain's pathways. This lighted easel will enable them to create beautiful visual effect while being tactile and safe to touch.

About my class
