Students need a clean and comfortable place to gather on the floor for lessons and read alouds. My students also love to move about our classroom to work and need a place that is comfortable to learn. A classroom carpet can help students create that sense of community. Being part of a community makes students feel safe to reach out and take academic risks and learn from their mistakes. Having a sense of community in the classroom makes students feel empowered and valued to thrive in their learning. Our school has been here for over 40 years with the original carpet and my students need a place to lay that is clean and inviting.
