This year I am focusing on giving the children more of an option for seating. I see how flexible seating works and gives the students an opportunity to learn while giving them the flexibility to choose their seating, The idea is to create a more comfortable environment that helps students be their best learning selves. I would like to give more control of the room to the kids and then they will take ownership of their classroom and their learning. they will be given the opportunity to choose where they sit daily. In a flexible classroom it empowers student choice, increase student engagement, and improve student participation. All the materials I have asked for are different seating options. The wobble chairs, and the balance ball desk chair will give students the ability to use their core muscles all while being able to sit and complete their work. The metal chairs gives each student a different option for seating. The cuddle chairs offers more of a comfortable space in which the student may choose to sit in while doing an activity. As each of these seating options is different it will give them the flexibility to find spaces that becomes conducive to their learning.
