My students are witty and wonderful 10 and 11 year olds. They attend a school with 98% free and reduced lunch. Many of my parents have moved to the US from all around the world. This year I have students from Nigeria, Iran, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic just to name a few. My students love to have fun. They want to turn just about everything into a game. We have invented some games this year to keep everyone interested and learning. For examples they get to play hoops, taking shots with a mini-basketball for each 5 questions they get right. And the winner is the line leader to lunch. It is almost impossible to not have a good day at work with these kids.
