MU40 Soprano Ukuleles will provide my students with an opportunity to express their pride by learning, composing, and performing patriotic songs at school and district events. We will meet twice weekly after school. Student collaborations will present opportunities to discuss burdens and celebrations with peers who truly understand. Composing and playing music will assist in creating coping skills for the healthy social and emotional well being of my students so they are able to fully concentrate on the academic demands of the school day. As new students join, they will be assigned mentors from the advanced players. This leadership opportunity will build confidence. I look forward to making the rest of the district and local community see what it means to be military proud!
