Living in Florida, you would assume students have the opportunity to experience our oceans and marine ecosystems. Having a salt water aquarium will allow my students to see a coral reef ecosystem up close and in-person. In our curriculum, the students learn about this vital ecosystem, the relationships these unique species have with each other and the important role coral reefs play on our planet. Your generous donations will afford these students the opportunity to bring their marine biology lessons to life in a way that simply cannot be captured through a textbook. Although my students live in Florida, I have learned from past years that many of these students have never been able to see any of these habitats in person due to family obstacles, whether financial or otherwise. This marine experience will have a positive impact on hundreds of students in the years to come. Thank you for your consideration.
