My students are awesome, willing to be challenged and love thinking outside the box. My classroom use the ideology of Problem Based Learning and STEAM and STEM curriculums to help students to use assets and abilities to other areas that they might struggle in such as math. Providing elements in the classroom that does not require a textbook or worksheet and makes an impact on the student on what their understanding of math is my ultimate goal. Math is more than drills, it is exploration, problem-solving and applying ideas to real-life applications. This ideology will help foster a student to look into STEAM careers that otherwise be ignored.
