Don't forget the ARTS! *** *** I love all things STEM and am ecstatic with the focus on these core disciplines as we move into a new century filled with careers that our students are going to invent using technology we've never heard of! But we can't leave out the arts in any of their forms. Photography, sculpting, drama, music, or paints are all crucial aspects of solving problems so that people LIKE those solutions! *** *** I'm excited to teach in an innovative school that not just allows us to teach STEAM, but encourages us to create learning opportunities for students that are outside the normal scope of a traditional education. *** *** I love the 'Aha!' moment for students who see that their dreams are becoming reality and that other people like their ideas as well!
