My school is a Title I school where the majority of the students are from a lower socio-economic status. Literacy is one of the areas were we are trying to increase proficiency. I have designed my classroom to have an "inviting" area for additional reading and comprehension. The additional seats are also needed since our class size will be comprised of approximately 30 students each core class. The relaxing seating area should set an atmosphere that encourages learning, but also make it comfortable and enjoyable to learn as well. I also have 2 inclusion classes for special needs students and this will cultivate an enriching atmosphere to learn.
