At our school, students choose the books they want to read during independent reading. I want to make sure my students have many options to the books they would like to read. New books are being added to our library constantly, filling more book bins, and leading to our shelving space running out. The biggest obstacle we face is having access to a large variety of books from which students can choose. It is vital for my students' learning to be given a wide range of book titles to keep their love of reading fully charged throughout the year. With an addition of two bookshelves and book bins, twenty-six students will have more options. You can help expand our classroom library by supporting this grant.
