In my Makerspace class we like to build, build, build! I have around 200 4th grade students who will work together to build this 6 foot Ferris Wheel and display for the whole school. Children love to build with K'nex, but typically can only construct small structures with the materials available in the classroom. Children in my class are learning the skills of tomorrow, how to persevere, how to work cooperatively, and how to solve problems. They are learning design thinking as well as computational thinking. Imagine how proud these students will be to see the structure that they worked on displayed for everyone to see.
