These materials will help the students in the classroom be able to successfully learn inside the classroom by helping them lessen the burden of outside forces. Poverty, being homeless, worrying about proper clothing for the ever-so changing seasons in Maine, and hunger. We have just about 88% of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. These are just some examples of the burdens that are placed on my students shoulders every day and by being able to give them life essentials will help them have a healthy and safe start. These SOS survival kits will help these students be able to be a student and not have to worry about the things they cannot control.
