Donating will bring a love for books and reading to my second grade students early in their education. When students create a love for reading they create a love for learning. Reading, whether it’s individual or in groups creates a calm environment for any child. I’ve realized that creating a safe and comfortable environment to read stimulates their interest and will get them curious about a particular subject. I believe all students, no matter where they live or their background should have access to everything they need to succeed in education. Education is the stepping stone to success. That’s why I believe these items would support my safe comfortable learning environment. To describe all items listed, I placed bean bag seats , balance balls, and soft seats for comfortable and flexible seating in the classroom. I also need dry erase pockets and markers for small group instruction along with whole group activities especially math. Tablet are needed for students as well . There is very limited access to computers in my school and I want my students to be able to use this tablet to research and read online whenever they would like.
