Our students are in PK through 8th grade. We are in two buildings, one houses PK through 5th grade, and the other has 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. We are an urban school with a beautifully diverse student body. Our students are full of curiosity and love to learn. In the music room we listen to an perform music from the rich heritage of American music and also music from around the world. After we learn about a new kind of music we like to create music of our own based on what we learned. At the main building we have a music room, but at the middle school I teach in regular classrooms which requires some creative problem solving for my students and I.
