Recorders have been around for hundreds of years! These instruments would allow me to unlock a new musical perspective for my students as we produce our annual madrigal dinners. Their amazing singing and acting abilities will be expanded by their ability to play period recorder music to delight their audiences. As the guests walk into the great hall of the castle, they will transported back in time by the mellow sounds of a recorder consort as they are led to their seats by lords and ladies in full medieval dress. This sublime music will help to set the tone for our annual madrigal dinners.
