I love teaching students who have Exceptional Needs. Their age ranges from three to five and a half years old for a large urban school district in California. My class is one of five Special Education categorical classes on a general education adapted elementary school campus. I have a growing class with eleven students in the morning and 10 students I teach in an after school program once a week. Their disabilities include all levels of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Intellectual Impairment Other Health and Orthopedic Impairment, and Speech and Language Impairment. They need a progressive level of skilled learning and support to help them be successful in the classroom. They are the reason why I enjoy doing what I am doing. So here I am!
