These books and kits will allow the students to be exposed to science through literacy that targets their interests. Many of them are very interested in reading graphic novels. These books provide a way to target their needs in academic and applied science while appealing to their interest in graphic novels. These books will help them better understand the topic of science and make them successful in their academics. Our area students need exposure to science! The topic of weather is a difficult concept for them to grasp. With the use of the weather kits, the students will be able to visually experience what weather and climate are and how it affects their day to day life.
