My third grade students love to learn! I have a diverse classroom with 18 students of various learning styles, needs, and levels. They are THRILLED when I announce that it is a SCIENCE STEM day! To them, STEM means hands-on learning. The ability to think outside the box and to problem solve is exciting for them. It teaches them to collaborate, to try new ideas and to strive for more. A third of our school's students come from military families. These children add a unique experience to our community. Being away from family members can be difficult for them so we embrace them and share the beauty of Maine. We also have a backpack program that provides food for families in need. With your support, we can help these students reach and realize their potential. By keeping them engaged and motivated, we can enhance our community and their curiosity for learning.
