Music is life! That is a fundamental concept that becomes real in my music classroom. My students are inquisitive and energetic learners who love coming to music class! Whether singing, putting on a program, learning how to play an instrument, dancing, or playing a music game, enthusiasm abounds, hearts are filled to overflowing, and joy is palpable. There are not many opportunities in this rural area for music lessons, productions to be part of, community choirs, etc., so the experiences my students get in my classroom are critical in bridging the cultural gap and helping students to discover the wonders of music as well as uncovering hidden gifts and talents. This is a classroom where all students can experience success and where students get to have experiences they will likely not get in many other places.
